We're once again transitioning seasons, it's always an important time to focus on good health habits like getting enough good-quality sleep, eating well, moving your body and drinking plenty of water. Aside from acupuncture tune-ups and other self-care regimens, there are other health habits that I find to be as important to your health.

We need 8 - 12 hugs a day! Studies show a 20 second hug reduces stress, and has positive impacts on blood pressure and heart rate.
Studies show daily gratitude practices like a gratitude journal, thank you notes, and just thinking about what you're grateful for improve happiness, relationships, and sense of well-being.
3. SLOWING DOWN
We are hyper focused on productivity, and yet "doing" is only a fraction of what life is about. When you slow down, you are better able to be and stay present to the moment, to feel your feelings, and to make better decisions. Find your natural pacing and honor it. You might also end up being MORE productive and LESS stressed!
4. USING CURIOSITY
Curiosity impacts your health positively because in relationships, curiosity leads to connection and emotional resonance, while the absence of curiosity does not. Try asking more questions, especially when you feel critical, judgemental, and when you find yourself making assumptions about someone. You can also request of someone to be more curious about you if you sense they are in judgment.

I open enrollment to the Novato 12-Week Deep Dive in the fall, first to the women who participate in the summer circle, often with a discount. They sometimes fill the all the spots (limited to 6). All the more reason to join the summer circle now if you're interested. The deep dive runs from Sept. through Thanksgiving and will meet on Fridays from 6:30 - 8:30pm.
I will also be offering a new Deep Dive for Women on Wednesdays starting in September that meets in a live webinar format online. If you want to be in it, email me and we'll begin the application process!
