Every time I head up to the Mount Shasta area, I like to pick fresh wild mountain sage in the foothills, as well as trimming some flat-leaf cedar trees so I can tie fragrant and healing smudge sticks to share with you. There's a fresh batch awaiting you at the clinic! I picked it with my boyfriend on our recent trip. Enjoy some photos from the journey.
This is the sage we picked, at the foot of the mountain.
Fresh picked sage, our hands smelled amazing!
I spent several hours stripping, bundling, and tying these smudge sticks. It is one of my favorite things to do!
I made mostly combos of sage and cedar, with a few pure sage or pure cedar too.
Shasta!
This is where the water bubbles up from the earth at the Sacramento River headwaters to form the river! We filled up several gallons of fresh, cold, and CLEAN spring water. I'm still drinking this at home! It's ALIVE.
We drove up to Crater Lake in Oregon, the water color was amazing.
Crater Lake - chilly but beautiful.
An angel walking by pointed out a great berry picking area...
Wild blackberries! <3
