What this means for you.
We have hundreds of patient files. Because of the time it takes to scan each individual file (including the new patient forms you filled out when you first came, plus all our chart notes for each visit) and upload it into the new system; we are only scanning ACTIVE patients into the system. If you come regularly, or have been here within the last year, you are an active patient and do not need to do a thing.
If you have not been to the clinic within the last year, you are an INACTIVE patient; and your file has been boxed, archived, and placed in a secure off-site storage facility until the time comes when we are legally allowed to shred and dispose of it (we are legally required to keep files for years!!!).
What to do if you are an INACTIVE patient and want to return for acupuncture.
We want you to be able to seamlessly return to acupuncture when you want, simply schedule the next visit as a Reassessment Visit + Acupuncture with our online scheduling system and bring a fresh set of New Patient Forms with all your current information and we will start a file for you fresh online. After being gone a while, it makes sense for us to have a fresh in-depth look at your current health anyway, so this plan makes sense for lots of reasons.
