How is it that truly good food doesn't seem normal or appealing to many people anymore? It seems that now food has to be fast, convenient, and very stimulating to the tastebuds in order for it to be worthy of eating. It's so far from the truth. Slow food is in.
I was at Target recently and deciced to stroll through the food aisles, I was saddened by the common theme. All I saw were "easy and convenient" foods by Target's brand, Market Pantry, and just like at Safeway, most products contained the same 3 UNHEALTHY ingredients: corn, soy, and canola. These are the main GMO crops.
I suspect we will soon prove GMOs cause cancer, weight gain/diabetes, and shortened life span. We've already seen allergies and digestive issues on the rise since their inception into our food system.
Many countries ban GMOs and it's just us, here in the United States of America, who are under the control of the major food giants - and multi-media marketing that makes you think products are safe and healthy to eat. But, all the products you buy should NOT contain the same 3 ingredients.

Although it's not easy these days to make the right choices, you can take steps towards better eating. Here's my top 5 recommendations for healthy eating:
- If it has a commercial, don't eat it, drink it, or put it on your skin!
- Do not risk eating GMO's (especially for the KIDS!!!). Familiarize yourself with the common GMOs in the food chain.

- Eat more fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens. Enjoy them; they are living, nourishing foods that will feed your cells energy to be healthy!
- Visit your local farmer's market, enjoy the abundance, spend more on healthy real good food and reap the benefits of improved health, outlook, and energy!
