Do you spend $3 for a bottle of kombucha? Do you drink soda or like bubbly drinks? You can now brew your own effervescent and delicious soda-like drinks at home, very inexpensively.
Kefir (“kee-fur”) is a traditional cultured drink used by indigenous peoples all over the world for eons. Drinking cultured beverages helps maintain health because it is an easy and enjoyable way to add probiotics to your system without the huge price tag (and it tastes fantastic!).
I have been brewing water kefir for a couple years and my partner Michael and I enjoy the naturally sparkling drink daily; for pennies! I drank this sparkling glass of lemon ginger kefir while writing this.

I make all kinds of flavors of kefir by adding different fresh, frozen or dried fruits. My current favorite is meyer lemon with ginger, but something as simple as raspberries (jar on right) is amazing! You can also use superfoods like goji berries (jar on left) or herbs like nettles or tulsi tea.

We now sell kefir starter grains and I also put together a kits that supply everything you need to get started.
The kit includes a glass mason jar with plastic lid, a hemp bag to store the kefir grains in while they soak in the water, and a plastic sieve (you can’t use metal with kefir).
Buy a kit and I will email you the easy and fun directions to get you on your way to affordable, healthy and enjoyable drinks made in your own kitchen. Available at the clinic, $16 for the water kefir starter grains only; or $32 for the kit that includes everything you need to get started.
